Import the fleet

Takes a sailing-pf handicap export — handicaps-YYYY-MM-DD.json. Paste it or choose the file.

Only the identity is read here: sail number, name, and the design carried in the export's boat id. Handicap and variant are ignored — they belong to a race entry, not a boat. Use Import entrants (JSON) on a race to bring those in.

Boats already registered are matched, not duplicated — by id first, then through the alias file for sail numbers and names that have changed. A boat held without a design is upgraded from the design in the export's id.
